Both the white and the yolk fo an egg are rich in nutrients including proteins, vitamins and minerals. The yolk also contains cholesterol fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamin D and E, which are essential fatty acids. More than half of them protein of an egg is found in the egg white, which includes vitamin B12 and has lower amounts of fat than yolk. Eggs are also rich sources of selenium, vitamin B6 and minerals such as zinc, iron and copper. Egg yolk contain more calories and fat than the whites.
